Unlock the Secrets of Fate and Destiny: Mastering Your Subconscious for a Life of Choice
The question I’m sure you’re all asking yourselves and having anxious feelings of self-doubt haunting you right now is, how much influence do I really have on my life?
When you discuss the concept of fate and destiny, you come to the scientific theory of ‘cause and effect,’ the physical explanation thereof being “What you sow, so shall you reap.” The famous scientist, Newton said, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
So, the argument goes, humans have free will, so therefore they can choose the ‘cause’ or course of action which will lead to ‘an effect’. So arguably, effect through conscious choice is destiny.
Many people believe that human characters are formed at birth and therefore people do not have a choice over action or ’cause’, as this is their reactive modus operandi with very little free will, therefore the effect will be fate and nothing can change this. My argument to this discussion is that humans mould and grow their characters constantly through life which leads to the effects being mastered by freewill.
So, humans mould their destiny, each time they mould their characters.
Now the next question will be, so how does one mould their character and master their own destiny? The answer is in the alignment of the conscious and subconscious mind. Some research refers to the negative ego as the subconscious mind. I refer to it as the shadow, the wounded ego and in my book, The Upward Spiral, I call it the ‘chip’. I often speak about the ego and the higher self being in alignment and how they must make friends and not fight with each other. I speak about this in step-10, take note.
John Kehoe always talks about becoming conscious of this hidden mysterious aspect of ourselves and the role it plays in our lives. His mantra is, “My subconscious mind is my partner to success.” He explains that the subconscious mind has two main functions. First to attract us to conditions and circumstances that are the predominant thought patterns with- in us. “What you focus on, you attract.” The second main function is to real- ise that your subconscious mind is your partner to success. We must be aware that we possess a second powerful mind and this must work with the conscious mind.
He explains, it has no sense of its own, has no limits, and simply attracts that which you are vibrating at, at one given time. Any repetitive thought will be imprinted on the subconscious, it cannot distinguish between real and imagined.
This is why repeating one’s ‘new chip’ sentence and practise making it part of your life in all areas, thinking, speaking, feeling and action has such a profound positive effect, almost instantaneously. You are actively training your conscious mind to make sure that only the highest quality thoughts gain entrance to your subconscious. When we see this playing out in our life and how we are able to manifest our reality, we realise we have to become very diligent in monitoring our thoughts, and reflection is the key to achieving this.
As we reflect, we see our subconscious patterns and see ourselves acting out our repetitive patterns, it is here we need to adjust our thinking. Then we experience positive experiences and so we feel happier and more confident and the upward spiral loop continues, each time a higher and higher vibration.
